At Highview Interiors, we believe in creating comfortable, practical, and clean spaces in our clients homes. Typically, that means starting with a large project like creating a family friendly kitchen and dining space or a transitional loft. But, there are several "forgotten" spaces that can tie your home together. When you're putting together your project priority list, don't forget about the following!
Foyer or Entry Way
Imagine you're a guest coming to your home for the first time. They open the front door, and what do they see?
Foyers or entry ways are the prologue to the rest of your home, and can set the tone for how your spaces will flow together. Maybe your home boasts a traditional foyer with a grand staircase that can use an upgrade. Still working with the builder grader, white balusters? Consider upgrading to oil-rubbed bronze balusters with a pattern to create a focal point.
No staircase? No problem. Warm up your entry way with a bench and a mirror or unique artwork.
Powder Room

Pinterest is filled with luxurious master bath ideas, but what about the half bath on your main level that rarely gets used? It might not be at the top of your priority list, but this space is another opportunity to add value to your home and show off your style. At Highview Interiors, we often tell clients that powder rooms are opportunities to step outside of their comfort zone design-wise. Our half-bathrooms have a darker color scheme, wallpaper, or even a natural texture to break things up.
Laundry Room

You might be hesistant to go all out in your laundry room because it's a utility space and likely not the focal point of your home. Similar to powder rooms, laundry rooms are an opportunity to take a design risk because they are smaller spaces.
Remove the builder-grade wire rack shelving and install upper cabinets above your washer and dryer. If there's space, find some lower cabinets and step outside of your comfort zone with a countertop selection.
